Rekindling Gratitude, and Parenting During War
November is one of my favorite months of the year. I love Fall, cooler weather, and a season devoted to giving thanks. God commands us to give thanks, and Scripture tells us that gratitude is a gift of the Spirit woven into the Christian heart. Not only are we required to give thanks, we are primed to give thanks. Here is a six-part series I wrote on giving thanks to help you rekindle gratitude:

Now, for some notable links …
#CurrentEvents President of the Hebraic Christian College and friend of mine, Dr. John Garr, published an explanation of antisemitism. In it, he explains that antisemitism is rooted in a hatred for God.
#Parenting In light of the wars across the world, some children are asking, “Will God always keep me safe?” Crossway answers this question in their “Answering Kids’ Hardest Questions” series, while Focus on the Family provides principles for talking with your kids about war. Parents, you will enjoy this.
#Marriage In his Look at the Book videos, John Piper completed a 5 part series on Colossians 3:18-21 that is hopeful for thriving and struggling marriages. Also, join Scott Kedersha in a podcast on planning for a productive marriage.
#Sale! Missional Wear is running its 12 Days of Deals, marking down some of its most popular products each weekday to 40-60% off. Now is the time to buy for Christmas and support a solid Christian store!

The book of Ezra reminds us that no one is beyond the divine providence of God’s hand, not even our highest authorities. God “stirred up the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia,” to initiate the return of Jewish exiles to Jerusalem to rebuild the house of God. Let this wallpaper remind you that God works in the lives of all people to accomplish His will.
