God gives the gospel to us for belief and guarding. The apostle Paul describes it as a “good deposit entrusted to you” as a follower of Jesus Christ. You are meant to keep it pure, both in word and deed, to accurately display its sanctifying power. Let this design remind you to guard the good deposit, the gospel of God.
Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.
