Written in Babylon by Ezekiel, a priest-turned-prophet, this book addresses Judah’s idolatry and dishonor to God’s name as causes for divine judgment. Ezekiel also prophesies against nations like Edom, Ammon, Egypt, Philistia, and Tyre. He promises a miraculous return of God’s people to their land, the temple’s reconstruction, and God’s eventual dominion over all nations.
