Exodus

The Israelites, Abraham’s descendants, enslaved in Egypt, are led to freedom by Moses, chosen by God. The Egyptian king’s refusal to release the slaves prompts God to inflict plagues on Egypt. Moses guides the Israelites through the parted Red Sea to Mt. Sinai, where they receive God’s Law, including the Ten Commandments, forming a covenant promising blessings for obedience.
