As the Thessalonian church faces persecution, some members are uncertain if the Day of the Lord has already begun. Paul clarifies that their current trials are not God’s judgment. He predicts a global rebellion, the emergence of the man of lawlessness, and the removal of the Restrainer before that day. Paul reassures them of God’s protection and urges them to continue doing what is right until Christ’s return.
