Put the Truth You Know to Work

A confident voice can lead us astray when we stop testing what we hear against Scripture. Paul’s warning to the Galatians deserves our attention. I want to help you think with the truth you already know and stay grounded in Christ’s finished work. Read more.

Focused Discipleship

#Personal — Let’s fight the sins we’ve learned to tolerate, relying on the Spirit’s power and the better promises of God.

#Marriage — Our marriages grow through consistent, intentional investment, including time, affection, prayer, and pursuit, even when everything seems fine.

#Parenting — Busy dads can make room for what matters through simpler commitments, weekly planning, and wiser use of spare moments.

#Church —  I’m encouraged by Lifeway’s findings on sermon length: most churchgoers are content, and some would welcome longer messages.

#Work — Working at a slower, more deliberate pace can help us pursue excellence, enjoy our labor, and reflect God’s character.

#Pastor —  Fellow pastors, we can fight Sunday discouragement through prayer, gratitude, and attention to God’s work among our people.

#AI —  As AI offers spiritual guidance, we need pastors who know us, share our burdens, and answer to God.

#Curiosity — Trace the Westminster Confession’s surprising beginnings and see God’s providence at work through upheaval, reform, and devotion to Scripture.

More of You

This is a special wallpaper to promote the new song “More of You” by Melody and Truth, which dropped earlier this week. Let this wallpaper design remind you to surrender your plans to Christ and reflect His grace in everyday decisions.

I’d love to hear from you. Just hit reply to let me know what you thought of this week’s newsletter, share link ideas for future issues, or just say hello!

Also, join my Field Notes email group for monthly updates on what the Lord is doing in my pastoral ministry.

Until next time.
