Merry Practical Tips, and Christmas Vision

If you are like the Abshire family, your Christmas tree is already up. (Maybe, it was up before Halloween … maybe.) Everything is arousing the Christmas spirit: door wreaths, cinnamon and pine, and pumpkin spice lattes. Bring it on!

These things can also distract you from the vision of Christ. So, be intentional about seeing past these things. Don’t let them blind you. I pulled together a number of resources to help you maintain a vision of Christ during Christmas.

Also, if you are reading my Christmas book, God Breaks His Silence, here are a few pointers to use it devotionally as well as a study guide in both group and personal settings. It is not too late to grab your free copy below.

Interested in more Christmas devotional readings? Here are some I encourage and have enjoyed: Gifts of Grace, Hosanna in Excelsis, and The Christmas We Didn’t Expect. Each are available on Amazon. One of them is on sale this week!

The Disciple Shift … Why?

In the previous newsletter, I introduced you to the name and logo. Now, I want to give you my “why.” I am a creative disciple maker. I have a passion to see men grow in their faith and lead godly homes. And, I’m in the thick of it.

My current season of life involves full-time work, part-time school, and weekend church planting. Funds are tight. Time is short. And, this is a god-sent opportunity to meet needs. In the future, I’ll go into more detail about this.

For now, if you are in the thick of it too, respond to let me know. Believe me, your little responses are big encouragements to me!

Until next week.

For the Kingdom,
Jacob Abshire
