Wednesday Wallpaper: Jesus Emptied Himself
Scriptures: Philippians 2:5-8
by Jacob Abshire on December 24, 2014
Profound humility in Jesus Christ. Jesus, who is the Christ, is fully God. He humbled himself in obedience to God the Father and took on the form of man in order to die a sinner’s death and ransom many from sin. In doing so, Jesus had to “empty himself” of His divine glory and put on the flesh of humanity. What humility! Let this wallpaper remind you of the profound humility of Christ Jesus.
Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Phil. 2:5-8
