Wednesday Wallpaper: God is Self-Existent

Scriptures: Psalms 90:1-2
by Jacob Abshire on September 21, 2016

Psalm 14:1 says that only a fool says, “There is no god.” The opposite is true. One who rightly follows good sense would believe that there must be an uncaused cause. For anything to exist, there must be something that has always existed. And, that something must have caused everything that exists today. Or, to put it biblically, someone must have always existed and had existence within Himself. This is God. He is self-existent. Let this design remind you of God’s aseity, His self-existence, that reminds us that nothing exists without Him.

“Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.”

Psalm 90:1-2
