When encouraging his readers to count it joy when trials come, James reminds them that God is not the tempter, but the good giver. This reality is something we can count on because “there is variation or shadow due to change” in Him (Ja. 1:17). He is not like the days that have light at some point and dark the next. He is “the same yesterday and today and forever” (Heb. 13:8). He said through His prophet Malachi, “I the Lord do not change.” Let this Wednesday wallpaper design remind you that God’s perfect nature never changes and therefore, he is immutable and trustworthy all the time.
“Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
James 1:16-17
