It is the will of the Lord to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And when we are filled with the Spirit, gratitude fills our hearts. The one who knows the grace of God most deeply is the one who gives praises to God most often. Gratitude should flood our hearts and run as deep as the sins that once enslaved us. Let this design on gratitude and thanksgiving remind you that the will of God is to give thanks to Him always and for everything.
“Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.”
