Wednesday Wallpaper: Cosmic Treason
Scriptures: Romans 3:23
by Jacob Abshire on March 12, 2014
Sin is missing the mark of God’s glory, falling short of glorifying God (Rom. 3:23). It is a lack of conformity to the divine standard, transgression of the law, and an act of moral treachery against Holy God. This wallpaper reminds us of the violence of sin—violence so serious, it violates in cosmic proportions. Here is a quote from a book that every Christian should own and read, Essential Truths of the Christian Faith, by R.C. Sproul.
Protestantism affirms that all sin is serious. Even the smallest sin is an act of rebellion against God. Every sin is an act of cosmic treason, a futile attempt to dethrone God in His sovereign authority.
