The Word of God is not just a physical book—it’s a spiritual weapon. In Ephesians 6:17, Paul calls Scripture “the sword of the Spirit,” the only offensive weapon in the armor of God. With it, believers cut through deception, defend against temptation, and strike back against the schemes of the enemy. God’s Word is living, powerful, and precise—able to silence lies and strengthen hearts. In every battle, it is the Spirit who wields the Word in us. Let this design remind you to take up the sword daily, standing firm with the unshakable Word of the Lord.
In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
