The “name of the Lord” encompasses all that the Lord is and has done. He is distinguished from all other ideas of god that man might have. And, one of His distinguishing marks is His power to protect. The Lord is a “strong tower” that “the righteous,” or those who covenantally belong to Him in Christ, run into as dependent beneficiaries. The righteous are kept safe from harm, particularly eternal destruction. Let this design remind you that protection only exists for those who trust in Christ.
