Gratitude fills the Christian life with the fragrance of worship. A thankful heart reflects the beauty of God’s grace and spreads the sweetness of Christ to others. Just as perfume fills a room with fragrance, gratitude fills the soul with joy and praise. Complaining hardens the heart, but thankfulness softens it and turns our attention toward God’s goodness. Reflect on the mercies God has given you today and let gratitude rise as a pleasing offering before Him.
But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.
