John the Baptist understood that his life and ministry were never meant to draw attention to himself. His purpose was to point people to Jesus. “He must increase, but I must decrease” expresses the same posture every disciple of Christ is called to embrace. As Jesus becomes greater in our hearts, our pride, self-importance, and need for recognition begin to fade. We become more concerned with His name, His kingdom, and His glory than our own. This wallpaper, inspired by Melody and Truth’s song “More of You,” offers a daily reminder to step out of the spotlight, surrender your desire for control, and let the life of Jesus become increasingly visible through you.
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
John 3:30
