True happiness is found in God’s holiness. The soul’s deepest satisfaction is not in earthly pleasure but in the God who is perfectly pure. To ask that our happiness be placed in His holiness is to seek joy that cannot fade — a joy anchored in His character. Through Christ, we are united to God and given the privilege of sharing in His holiness. This joy is not shallow amusement but lasting delight. Reflect on what you look to for happiness and ask God to make His holy presence your greatest treasure.
But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.’
