God’s Word is clear to the spiritual mind. In 1 Corinthians 2:14, Paul explains that the natural person cannot accept or understand the things of God, because they are spiritually discerned. Scripture is clear, but it takes the Spirit to see. Without spiritual life, the truths of God seem foolish. But with the Spirit, the light of Scripture breaks through. Clarity is not just intellectual—it’s spiritual. Let this design remind you to depend on the Spirit as you read, trusting Him to open your eyes to God’s clear and living Word.
The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
