Joy is found in beholding God. True joy is not found in possessions, status, or ease but in beholding the glory of God. To “make it my beatitude” is to make it our highest happiness to know and delight in Him. We are often slow to learn and quick to forget, but God draws our hearts back to Himself through His Word and Spirit. As we behold Him, we are changed into His likeness. Reflect on the privilege of knowing the Lord — and let that knowledge stir your soul toward worship.
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
