Wallpaper: God’s Word in Your Heart

Scriptures: Deuteronomy 30:11-14
by Jacob Abshire on August 13, 2025

God’s Word is not distant or difficult. In Deuteronomy 30:11-14, Moses reminds Israel that God’s commands are not hidden in heaven or beyond the sea—they are near, accessible, and understandable. The Word is in your mouth and in your heart, ready to be believed and obeyed. This is the kindness of God: He doesn’t speak in riddles or conceal His will. He speaks plainly, so we can walk in His ways. Let this design remind you to receive God’s Word with confidence, knowing it is near, clear, and meant for you.

“For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.”
