Scripture: God Spoke Because We Needed to Hear

by Jacob Abshire on October 24, 2025

Life in this world can feel like wandering through a vast forest—voices echoing from every direction, paths branching endlessly, each promising a way out. Headlines, opinions, and philosophies fill the air like rustling leaves, yet none can show us the way home. Creation itself reminds us that there is a Maker, but not how to reach Him. Conscience tells us that we are guilty, but not where forgiveness is found.

That is why we need the Word of God. Scripture is not one voice among many; it is the voice that breaks through the noise. Without it, we would know that God exists but not who He is. We would feel our guilt but never find grace. We would sense eternity but never see the path to it.

This three-part series explores that truth through the imagery of the forest: the Bible is essential to know God, vital to walk with Him, and gracious as His voice calling us home. Each article invites you to open the Scriptures and hear again the living God who still speaks.
