Wednesday Wallpaper: Peace with You

Scriptures: John 14:27
by Jacob Abshire on October 14, 2015

In Christ there is peace. Speaking of His pending departure, Jesus comforted the disciples with words of peace. “Shalom,” in the Hebrew language, meant something far deeper than what it means in our English translation. It primarily referred to a right standing with God, the deepest sense of peace that man can experience. It is a kind of peace that secures composure in turmoil (Jn. 14:1), conquers fears in life (Phil. 4:7), and maintains harmony with God’s people (Col. 3:15). Let this design remind you that in Christ you have peace.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

John 14:27
