As a national holiday, we celebrate Easter, which memorializes the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Paul reminds us that the resurrection of Christ was a one-time event that had lasting effects, bringing about the resurrection of the dead who are in Christ. So, as we celebrate Easter, we look back to the first Easter, when Jesus arose from the dead, making resurrection from the dead a reality for all times.
