Sending Love to Mozambique

by Jacob Abshire on March 9, 2017

My church and family are adamant about missions, where ever they are. People need to hear the gospel. They need Jesus.

Last year, I flew to overseas with a team from my church to carry the gospel to communities in the southern boroughs of London. It was an exciting time. Now, my wife and oldest daughter and picking up the gospel baton and carrying it to Mozambique in east Africa, and very soon. Please consider donating and praying for my two loves. Here is a letter about the trip from my wife:

Dear Friends and Family,

We have some exciting news that we can’t wait to share with you! In late April, Karys (our oldest daughter) and I will be traveling to Mozambique in East Africa. After joining a missionary family, we’ll take the Gospel into some unreached Mwani neighborhoods. We’ll leave on April 20th and return on May 1st.

The trip is being funded entirely through donations and personal finances. So, we wanted to extend this opportunity to anyone who may be interested in bringing hope to the Mwani people. The estimated cost is about $6,000. If you would like to help financially, mail your donation to the address below. And please remember to pray for us! (Half of our cost is due mid-March so there is a rush.)

We’ll certainly send updates to all who contribute to this trip so you can see what God is doing through your generosity and His power. For your donation to be tax-deductible, make it payable to: Northeast Houston Baptist Church with this memo on your check: Mozambique 2017: Abshire. If you are not concerned about a tax deduction, you can donate to our PayPal account. (We are no longer taking donations.)

Email updates will be sent as soon as the trip begins. If you would like these updates, please include your email address with your donation.
